With the King’s Birthday long weekend in sight, and Friday 5 June being World Sausage Roll Day, it’s time to get your hands on one of the biggest and best sausage rolls in town. (Spoiler alert: It’s one of ours!)
If you know us, you know we don’t do things by halves. Our thick, buttery signature sausage roll stands out from the crowd thanks to its sweet-savoury flavours and generous, oversized format.
Every single one is individually hand-rolled and baked daily on-site at each of our locations across Sydney, Bilpin, and Newcastle. And the recipe is different to most, with premium slow-braised beef, a subtle hint of Middle Eastern spices, and a touch of sweetness courtesy of our favorite secret ingredient: dates.
Rich, rustic, flavourful, flaky, and beautifully caramelised, it has developed a cult following since its debut back in 2002 at our very first The Grumpy Baker location on Oxford Street in Paddington.
It really is the ultimate roadtrip snack or weekend indulgence – especially for this upcoming June long weekend.
